Downdraft Tables & Workstations

Heavy-Duty Vented Workbenches for Source Capture

Industrial downdraft tables provide an ergonomic, ventilated work surface that captures particulates immediately at the source. Designed to connect seamlessly to your central dust collector (baghouse, cartridge, or cyclone), these tables ensure operators breathe clean air while grinding, sanding, buffing, or welding.

Manufactured by AGET and built for industrial abuse, these units feature heavy-gauge welded steel construction, open steel grating, and hopper-style bottoms to direct heavy debris into easy-clean ducts. Unlike light-duty self-contained units, these tables are engineered to be part of a compliant, high-performance ventilation system. We configure the ducting and central fan requirements to match your specific table size and application intensity.

Downdraft Tables β€” Ducted Source Capture Workstations

A downdraft table does one thing that no ambient air cleaner can: it captures dust and fumes at the exact point of generation, before they reach the operator’s breathing zone.Downdraft tables are industrial-grade ducted workstations, they connect directly to your central dust collector and pull contaminated air down through the work surface and away. The design is straightforward and proven. An open steel grating work surface supports the part. Air is drawn downward through the grating at 150 to 250 CFM per square foot of surface area, capturing grinding dust, sanding debris, buffing compounds, and light fumes as they’re generated. Heavy debris drops into the hopper-style bottom and discharges easily. No integral fan, no onboard filters to change the central collector does the work. Standard sizes run from 36β€³ x 30β€³ up to 48β€³ x 96β€³. Optional accessories include PVC open mesh surface matting (protects parts and improves airflow distribution), manifold connections to a single exhaust outlet on larger models, and full booth enclosures with lighting for applications requiring containment.
  • Airflow Requirement: 150 – 250 CFM per square foot of work surface (job-specific)

Standard Sizes & Airflow Requirements

Airflow shown is the capacity required from your central dust collector. We size and configure the complete system table, ductwork, and collector for your application.
Work Surface Surface Area Required Airflow Typical Application
36β€³ x 30β€³ 7.5 sq ft 1,125 – 1,875 CFM Small parts deburring, soldering, light grinding
48β€³ x 48β€³ 16 sq ft 2,400 – 4,000 CFM General grinding, sanding, buffing, woodworking
48β€³ x 72β€³ 24 sq ft 3,600 – 6,000 CFM Medium fabrication, larger weldments, composite finishing
48β€³ x 96β€³ 32 sq ft 4,800 – 8,000 CFM Dual-operator stations, large assembly grinding, manifolded outlet

CFM requirements are job-specific. Actual system sizing depends on static pressure, duct length, and application intensity. Contact us for a complete system quote.
