A.C.T. Dust Collectors for Indiana and the Midwest
A.C.T. dust collectors differ from typical cartridge and baghouse systems in several key ways that directly impact filtration efficiency, operating cost, and long-term performance.
Collectors & Filters is your Indiana and the Midwest source for an A.C.T. Dust Collector. We replace outdated, failing systems with American-made equipment that actually works. You get cleaner air, safer employees, and a maintenance bill that finally makes sense.
A.C.T. sets the standard across North America. Their Nano-Elite high-efficiency cartridge filters grab 99.9% of the dust in your facility and keeps you compliant without choking off your airflow.
We offer a comprehensive range of products including, baghouse dust collectors, cartridge dust collectors, cyclones, and accessories.
We install ACT dust collector systems throughout Indiana, Northern Kentucky, and Southern Michigan. Whether it’s a catridge system or a complete baghouse setup, we handle supply and installation as a single point of contact.
Benefits of A.C.T. Dust Collectors
- Cleaner Air, Less Worry: MERV 15 (which comes standard) filtration stops the microscopic stuff others miss. Your shop stays clean, and your team breathes easy.
- Smart Pulse Cleaning: The Venturi-assisted system blasts filters clean without wasting compressed air.
- Fast Maintenance: Tool-free doors let you swap filters in minutes, not hours. Get your system back online and your team back to work.
- Built Like a Tank: 7 and 10-gauge steel construction means these units survive the toughest welding, cutting, and grinding jobs. Built for what Indiana’s industries need.
Why Choose A.C.T. Dust Collectors?
You don’t need another catalog; you need answers, you need solutions. Whether you need a single unit for a weld cell or a massive system for the whole plant, we match the static pressure and CFM to your application.
A.C.T. vs. Typical Industrial Collector Brands
| Feature | A.C.T. Dust Collectors | Typical Competing Brand |
|---|---|---|
| Filter media | Nano-Elite nanofiber, MERV 15 rated, 99.9% efficient at sub-micron sizes | Standard polyester or cellulose at MERV 8 to 11, fine metallic fume passes through |
| Pressure drop | Surface-loading nanofiber, dust cake forms on membrane, pulses cleanly | Depth-loading media embeds particulate, pressure climbs, airflow drops over time |
| Pulse-jet cleaning | Venturi-assisted, amplifies compressed air pulse 3 to 4 times | Direct pulse without venturi, higher compressed air consumption per clean |
| Steel gauge | 7 to 10 gauge welded construction throughout | 14 to 16 gauge standard, flex and fatigue under continuous heavy use |
| Tool-free filter access | Cartridges slide out without tools, ladders, or confined space entry | Many require tools, scaffolding, or confined space procedures |
| ISO 9001 and ITAR certified | Both certifications in place, qualified for defense and regulated industries | Varies by manufacturer, ITAR not standard across the industry |
| Lead time | In-stock units and expedited production available on most models | Engineered-to-order systems often run 12 to 20 week lead times |
| Laser and plasma dedicated line | LaserPack series with integrated spark trap, flame-retardant filter option | General-purpose collector adapted, spark trap added as afterthought or omitted |
| Welding fume dedicated line | WeldPack purpose-built for robotic and source-capture welding cells | Generic cartridge collector applied to weld fume, oversized for the application |
| HEPA after-filter option | Factory-integrated HEPA available on select models | Aftermarket add-on housing, separate install, potential leakage points |
| CFM range single manufacturer | 1,000 through 110,000 CFM, one vendor for weld cell to full plant | Most competitors cover either small cartridge or large baghouse well, not both |
| Modular shipping | TLM baghouse ships in standard truckload, no oversize permits required | Large baghouses require oversize permits, escorts, route planning, added weeks |
| Engineering responsiveness | In-house engineering team directly accessible for odd CFM, tight footprints, combustible dust | Engineering often routed through layers of sales and technical support |

A.C.T. Dust Collector Product Line
Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value, or MERV, is a rating of the overall effectiveness of dust collector filters on a scale of 1 to 16. The A.C.T. dust collector is built around their Nano-Elite nanofiber cartridge filter, MERV 15 rated, 99.9% efficient on fine particulate at lower pressure drop than standard media.
That single design decision runs through the entire product line and is what separates an A.C.T. dust collector from others that push airflow ratings without addressing filtration efficiency.
TLM Modular Baghouse Collectors
The TLM is A.C.T.’s heavy-duty modular baghouse line for high-volume industrial applications. Internally reinforced steel walls, computerized pulse-jet cleaning optimization, tool-free bag replacement through hinged access doors, and a modular design that ships without oversize permits and installs without specialized equipment.
Indiana manufacturers across the production and fabrication environments rely on A.C.T. systems. See our dust collection guide for manufacturing and production and our guide on industrial ventilation systems.
ARB Round Baghouse Collectors
The ARB is A.C.T.’s round baghouse design for applications where a compact cylindrical footprint is preferred over the square layout. Round construction provides inherent structural strength, and the round baghouse shares the core engineering pulse-jet cleaning, tool-free maintenance, and Nano-Elite filters.
An A.C.T. dust collector best suited for moderate-volume applications where installation space limits the footprint.
Cartridge Dust Collectors
The A.C.T. cartridge collector, left, uses pleated Nano-Elite nanofiber media for fine dust applications at moderate airflow volumes area like metalworking, grinding, welding fume, powder coating, and other processes generating fine particulate that would blind standard media quickly.
LaserPack Collectors Purpose-Built for Laser and Plasma Cutting
The LaserPack series is purpose-built for laser cutting and plasma cutting applications which are available in LaserPack 2, 4, 6, and 8 configurations based on filter count. Laser and plasma cutting operations generating fine metallic fume and sparks require both high-efficiency filtration and spark management which is covered in detail in our welding and grinding fumes collection guide. General-purpose collectors used for laser cutting don’t address the spark ignition risk or the sub-micron fume capture requirement.
WeldPack Collectors Purpose-Built for Welding Fume
The WeldPack series is purpose-built for robotic and source-capture welding applications and is available in different size configurations. The WeldPack is specifically designed for robotic welding cells coming in a small-footprint package that fits within or adjacent to the cell. For facilities that need welding fume capture, see our welding fume extraction and grinding dust collection guide for Indiana manufacturers.
MERV 15 efficiency for particle capture means the WeldPack addresses OSHA’s welding fume requirements rather than just moving air around.
Bin Vent Collectors
A.C.T. bin vent collectors mount directly on silos, bins, and hoppers to capture displaced air and dust during filling operations. Pulse-jet cleaning maintains filter performance through continuous fill cycles. Available in configurations matched to bin diameter and filling rate for the feed & grain industry.
