Downdraft Tables & Workstations

Heavy-Duty Vented Workbenches for Source Capture

Downdraft tables capture grinding dust, weld fume, and sanding debris at the work surface before it reaches the breathing zone. We supply both self-contained plug-and-play units and ducted models that connect to your existing central collector. Sized and configured for your application. Contact us with your process and part size and we’ll spec the right table.

Downdraft Tables – Ducted Source Capture Workstations

A downdraft table does one thing that no ambient air cleaner can: it captures dust and fumes at the exact point of generation, before they reach the operator’s breathing zone. Air is drawn downward through the work surface and away, capturing grinding dust, sanding debris, weld fume, and buffing compounds as they’re generated. We supply two types of downdraft tables depending on your setup. Self-contained units have an integral fan, onboard filtration, and plug directly into a standard outlet, no central collector required. Ducted units connect to your existing central dust collector and use it to do the work, which means no onboard filters to change and lower cost per station when a central system is already in place. We size and configure the complete system for your application. Call us with your process, part size, and facility setup and we’ll spec the right table.

Self-Contained Downdraft Tables – Integral Fan and Filtration

These units include an onboard motor, spark arrestor, and cartridge filtration. Plug in and work. Available in compact single-operator sizes up to large multi-station configurations. Standard filtration is flame-retardant 80/20 cellulose/polyester MERV 11. Nanofiber MERV 15 and HEPA afterfilter available as upgrades. 10-year structural warranty. Made in USA.
Model Size CFM Face Velocity Motor Voltage Noise Weight
2 x 3 Portable 1,200 265 FPM 1.5 HP 120V / 1-phase 74 dBA @ 5′ 400 lbs
4 x 3 4,200 350 FPM 5 HP 208/230/460V / 3-phase 73 dBA @ 5′ 1,175 lbs
4 x 6 6,480 270 FPM 10 HP 208/230/460V / 3-phase 77 dBA @ 5′ 1,775 lbs
4 x 9 9,000 250 FPM 15 HP 208/230/460V / 3-phase 81 dBA @ 5′ 2,100 lbs

Standard filtration: flame-retardant 80/20 cellulose/polyester MERV 11. Nanofiber MERV 15 and HEPA afterfilter available as upgrades. Quick-release doors for fast filter service. Extinguisher ports standard. 10-year structural warranty on major components. Contact us for a quote.

Ducted Downdraft Tables – Connected to Central Collector

These tables have no integral fan or filters. They connect directly to your central dust collector via ductwork and use it to provide airflow. No onboard filters to change, lower cost per station when a central system is already in place, and heavy debris drops into the hopper-style bottom for easy discharge. Available in standard sizes from 36″ x 30″ up to 48″ x 96″. Made in USA by AGET Manufacturing.
Work Surface Surface Area Required Airflow Typical Application
36″ x 30″ 7.5 sq ft 1,125 – 1,875 CFM Small parts deburring, soldering, light grinding
48″ x 48″ 16 sq ft 2,400 – 4,000 CFM General grinding, sanding, buffing, woodworking
48″ x 72″ 24 sq ft 3,600 – 6,000 CFM Medium fabrication, larger weldments, composite finishing
48″ x 96″ 32 sq ft 4,800 – 8,000 CFM Dual-operator stations, large assembly grinding, manifolded outlet

CFM requirements are job-specific. Actual system sizing depends on static pressure, duct length, and application intensity. Contact us for a complete system quote including table, ductwork, and collector sizing.

Who This Is For

Downdraft tables are the right fit when operators work at a fixed station and the dust or fume source is close to the work surface. Common applications we see in Indiana facilities include:
  • Metal fabrication and job shops doing grinding, deburring, or sanding at dedicated stations
  • Welding operations where a flat work surface and downward airflow keep fume out of the breathing zone
  • Woodworking and cabinet shops finishing parts at a fixed workstation
  • Composite and fiberglass operations generating fine airborne particulate during cutting or sanding
  • Facilities that already have a central dust collector and want to add a ducted capture point without buying a standalone unit
  • Educational welding labs and training facilities needing a compact plug-and-play source capture solution
  • Any shop where an operator is grinding or finishing small to medium parts and ambient air cleaners overhead are not keeping up

Problems This Solves

  • Captures grinding dust, weld fume, sanding debris, and buffing compound at the work surface before it reaches the breathing zone
  • Keeps welding hood lenses cleaner, reducing how often they need to be replaced
  • Self-contained units eliminate the need for a central collector — plug into a standard 120V outlet and work
  • Ducted units eliminate onboard filter changes by using your existing central collector to do the work
  • Reduces housekeeping time by pulling debris down and away from the work surface instead of letting it settle on floors and equipment
  • Supports OSHA compliance for dust and particulate exposure at grinding, welding, and deburring stations
  • Scales from a single compact portable unit to multi-station ducted configurations as your operation grows
